It is now mid July. The organizers remain busy getting all the details and logistics together for the 2009 IFDS World Blind Sailing Championships to be held in Rotorua in March 2009.
Our funding & sponsorship programs continue to raise the monies required to stage this event. Local support continues to grow and we are confident that this will be a memorable event for all participants and supporters who come to Rotorua.
The Novotel & Ibis Hotels are taking reservations now!. Room availability is starting to become limited - so make sure you reserve your rooms well in advance!

The Princes Gate Hotel, built in 1897, is the most famous hotel in Rotorua. It is located in the historic area of Rotorua overlooking the world famous Government Gardens, museum, art gallery and the Polynesian Spa. The Ambassador Thermal Motel is just a 2 minute walk to the Convention Centre and the CBD.
There are 19 spacious units available which include studios, one-bedroom and 2 bedroom units, all complete with fully equipped kitchens, microwave, thermal heating, a queen size bed, Sky TV and a hair dryer.
On site there is an outdoor heated swimming pool, two genuine mineral pools, an outdoor spa, guest laundry and drying room as well as BBQ facilities. Also available by request are breakfasts.

The Havana Motor Lodge is less than 5 minutes walk to the lakefront, the city, restaurants, shopping centre, Polynesian Spa, Convention Centre and the Energy Events Centre. The Havana Motor Lodge is located opposite the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a quiet, central setting.
There are 22 fully equipped units in total, all with a Queen sized bed. There are 2 private mineral pools, as well as an in-ground heated swimming pool. Rooms are clean and comfortable with small kitchen and ensuite bathroom. |

Heywoods Motor Lodge offer 22 superbly equipped units, studios, one and two bedroom family units, as well as a large house which is suitable for group bookings (sleeps 12 people). Heywoods is only a 5 minute walk to the city centre.
